Here's a bullet update:
- My sister-in-law recently gave me her bread machine and I. AM. IN. LOVE. Seriously! After using it for the first time, it left me thinking, "Why on earth haven't I had one of these sooner?!" Well, now I know why : They are dangerous with a capital D. I think I am going to turn in to a loaf of bread. Mmmm, delicious! I have made about six loaves of bread and a batch of bagels. I think I am going to attempt cinnamon rolls later on this week.
- Yesterday I took my princess for her very first haircut at a salon...if you consider the place inside of Wal-mart a salon. Gammy did her very first haircut and I have done every one since then. She was pretty excited when I picked her up on my way home from work and took her. I looked at her sitting in the chair at the (so called) salon and I flashed forward in my head a dozen or so years...and I thought to myself, "Cherish your little girl, cherish her." She will be getting her hair done for her wedding day in the blink of an eye. But for now, she has a cute new do that she loves.
- Landon came down with his third case of strep in the past four months. We are on a roll here, I know. My first two children are walking strep monsters this winter it seems. This time for him wasn't as bad as the past two. He didn't run a fever and he didn't throw up. He just said he felt like bees were stinging him in the back of his mouth. He was a trooper...and was pretty happy to be able to miss a day of school.
- Collin, who has managed to remain strep free his whole life, came down with the stomach bug over the weekend. He started throwing up at 11PM on Friday night and it continued every 30-60 minutes until Saturday morning at 8:30AM. I can't decided if it was lucky for me or not, but I had to work on Saturday morning so Dan was on throw up duty for the night. We were both walking zombies on Saturday. We made it through the day though...and I have never been so thankful for a nights sleep...well, maybe, but it's been a very long time.
And, that about does it. Just hoping for a healthy week this week...
